Learn how Canadian universities are responding
Canada’s universities are on the front lines of addressing the COVID-19 situation and continue to prioritize the health and safety of students, faculty, staff and the broader community as this situation evolves. Universities are responding to the needs of their communities by following the directives of local, provincial and national public health agencies and by developing and implementing risk mitigation plans to stay on top of this situation. Universities have an important role to play in slowing the spread of COVID-19 in Canadian communities and are taking measures to facilitate social distancing, including the cancellation of large gatherings and, where possible, the transition to online instruction for classes.
Universities Canada continues to communicate with universities, partners and provincial and federal governments in mitigating risks and finding solutions to COVID-19. As an organization, Universities Canada has transitioned to a work-from-home protocol, as per the advice of Ottawa Public Health, and continues to serve our clients and members.
