About the Fellowship


The Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship is a year-long, part-time professional development program that gathers a bipartisan cohort of 20-25 talented individuals who are poised to become the next generation of national security leaders. The fellowship is designed to foster learning, collaboration, and leadership development among young professionals across various sectors within the national security landscape.

Eligibility Criteria


To be eligible for the Shawn Brimley Next Generation National Security Leaders Fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:


- United States Citizenship: Applicants must be United States citizens.

- Age Range: Applicants should be between 27 and 35 years old as of the close of the application date.

- Professional Experience: Candidates must possess a minimum of four years of professional experience in researching or executing U.S. national security policy.

- Commitment to Public Service: A demonstrated commitment to public service is essential.
